The CakePHP core team is proud to announce the immediate availability of CakePHP 1.3.9 and 2.0.0-alpha. 1.3.9 is a bugfix/maintenance release for the the 1.3 branch. 2.0.0-alpha is the first alpha release of the 2.x branch, and is not API stable or intended for production systems.
